What is CalFresh?
CalFresh is California's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). CalFresh is financial aid for food! It is a nutrition assistance program that provides eligible students with up to $298 per month in the form of a cash grant to spend on groceries. It gives students the flexibility to buy the foods they love at their favorite grocery stores or farmers markets (Trader Joe’s, Costco, Vons, Food 4 Less, the downtown Farmers’ Market and more)!

These documents will help you to prove your eligibility
- ID verification such as a driver’s license, social security card or voter registration. 
- Rental/Lease agreement. You can still apply if you have no mailing address. 
- Class Schedule. 
- Paystubs (if applicable). 
- Financial aid award letter. This is important even if awarded dollar amount is $0 or blank.
